On this visit we will take a tour through the entire history of La Jonquera with the help of archaeologist Anna Maria Puig, from the Romans to the present day. We will be able to see the pre-Romanesque church of Sant Martí del Forn del Vidre; the Mansio Summum Pyrenaum, a stopping point for travelers entering the peninsula; the Panissars pass, with the church of Santa Maria de Panissars and the Roman Trophies of Pompey; the Pont d'Espanya, protagonist of the 1939 exile; and the Molí d'en Laporta, a vestige of how life was in the modern era.
This hiking route from La Jonquera to Panissars (El Portús), has been drawn up by the GAT (Grup d'Art i Treball) of La Jonquera with the support of the Grupo Tramuntana, on the occasion of its 80th anniversary.
